ADM Capital is pleased to announce the final close of the ADM Capital Asia Climate-smart Landscapes Fund LP (“ACLF” or the “Fund”) at USD 48 million, marking an important milestone for ADM Capital’s first impact fund dedicated to climate-smart land-use financing in Indonesia.
ACLF is a blended finance private credit vehicle focused on supporting sustainable agriculture, forestry, aquaculture and land-use systems across Indonesia. The Fund provides long-term credit to underbanked small and medium-sized enterprises operating across agricultural supply chains, helping businesses scale climate-smart practices, strengthen rural livelihoods and support more resilient food systems.
ACLF mobilised capital from a diverse group of institutional investors, development finance partners, foundations and family offices. The final close included a USD 8 million commitment from the Australian Government’s Australian Development Investments (ADI) fund via Sarona Asset Management, matched by a USD 8.65 million commitment from Australian foundations and family offices, including the Minderoo Foundation, the Paul Ramsay Foundation and the LEEAF Trust. The Australian investors jointly invested under ADI Climate Partners, a vehicle managed by Ecotone Partners.
The Australian investment represents a landmark public-philanthropic partnership to mobilise capital into Indonesia’s green transition, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in sectors such as agriculture, agroforestry and aquaculture. By enabling Australian philanthropic and government capital to invest alongside one another, the partnership demonstrates how blended finance can unlock investment into high-impact opportunities across the Indo-Pacific.
ACLF benefits from a 50% asset-level guarantee from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), helping to mobilise private capital into sectors and geographies that remain underserved by traditional financing markets. The Fund’s impact objectives are also embedded into its structure, with carried interest linked to defined environmental and social performance targets.
“ACLF’s successful close marks an important milestone,” said Chris Botsford, Founder of ADM Capital. “We established the Fund to demonstrate that private capital can play a much larger role in financing the transition to sustainable agriculture and forestry, while delivering measurable benefits for climate, nature and rural livelihoods.”
Lisa Genasci, Managing Director, Sustainable Finance at ADM Capital, added: “We are particularly pleased to welcome ADI and its partner investors. Their participation reflects growing confidence that blended finance can unlock investment into historically underserved sectors and geographies, mobilising private capital where it is most needed.”
ADM Capital would like to thank its investors and partners for their continued commitment and support.
