Christopher Botsford, ADM Capital Co-Founder, participated in the ‘Founders Chat’ panel at the AIMA APAC Annual Forum in Hong Kong on Thursday 7th March, 2019.

ADM Capital formed in 1998 after the financial Asian financial crisis and with more than 20 years’ experience in Asia Pacific credit markets, the firm has a unique understanding of the evolution of the private lending industry in Asia, and the challenges and opportunities currently facing the region in this complex and changing world. In addition to longevity, ADM Capital’s experience across credit strategies – ranging from restructuring, distressed debt and non-performing loan portfolios, through to today’s predominant focus of senior secured direct lending – allows an appreciation of risk/return profiles across countries, sectors and lending styles.

Key themes from Chris’ discussion include; the need for private credit funds to be flexible in solving Borrower problems – acknowledging their variable and often complex circumstances, Asia Pacific’s continued attractiveness as a long-term investment opportunity and the increased in demand for sustainable finance, largely driven by an energised and maturing Millennial generation.

The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) is the global representative of the alternative investment industry, with more than 1,900 corporate members in over 60 countries. AIMA’s fund manager members collectively manage more than USD2 trillion in assets.
